Struggle, the ever constant in every form of existence. Human kind has asked the question why, since their beginning. Why do we struggle on to endure such hardship and strife to survive; yet every species continues to endure in their own perilless journey along a razors edge between life and death, where at any moment that one misstep can be their last. Yes, the hardships are great, but so are the rewards. There is the soft new grass on the meadow in spring, the smell of fresh clean air after a gentle rain, and how it fills your lungs as you take in all the beauty and life of ones surroundings. There is another constant on the softer side of life, it draws the bee to the flower, and pushes the fish to swim upstream, it is one of the most powerful forces in the universe. Love. And when a man and a woman share this magnificent force strongly enough, they can bend the universe to their will before they will let it keep them apart. And so is the story of Hephaestus, and his love for Athena. Their story begins in a solar system similar to billions of others that have given birth to an abundance of life. Here, the asteroid belt, now the hallow remains of Phaeton, a world once lived, is a rocky trail of a shattered existence and the only proof of the mistake that cost them everything. Braking their alliance with their founding world, though at the time deemed necessary for their own existence to prosper, was a treasonous crime punishable by death, a crime that cost them their world and billions of lives. Now an ancient graveyard inhabiting a fragmented ring in space is the only evidence that they had ever existed, that there cause and sacrifice was more than myth, more than a legend, and now serves as a constant reminder to warn off future betrayals. For how can a people defend themselves, or rise up against ?The destroyer of worlds”, no matter how justified the cause. So, why are we here? To what purpose do we serve? Is Earth now our home, or simply, our mission? These are the questions that still linger in the hearts of many. Questions that have inadvertently lead to fuel many rebellions over the years. There are those who wish to defy tradition, those who no longer wish to serve the home they traveled so far to save. While others understand the consequences of that betrayal, and still long to return home.????? Nemesis, a brown dwarf star with six planets in its orbit had wandered the galaxy before being attracted in recent millennium and forced to become a binary solar system with earths much younger golden star. Nemesis now orbits the sun in an elliptical pattern, approaching from the south, and was so named because of the chaos it would cause as it entered the new systems’ planetary orbit, an occurrence that has come to be known as ?The Convergence’. Nibiru, one of the remaining planets in Nemesis’s orbit, was rich with natural resources, fertile soil, a thick atmosphere and an abundance of water allowing for a flourishing population. It was home to several advanced humanoid races that were governed and ruled over by an ancient bloodline called the Primordial’s. This ancient bloodline possessed extraordinary powers over the mind, nature, and the elements. Their divine decedents were intelligent, powerful, and ever growing in technological advances.?? However, after nearly a hundred cycles in its new orbit, Nibiru now faced a new threat, extinction. Every convergence had taken its toll, destroying more and more of Nibiru’s atmosphere, until it had become depleted to the point it could no longer filter the intense radiation from the younger yellow sun. Knowing that changes needed to be made in order to save their planet, they developed a way to counter act the effects of radiation by ionizing the atmosphere with a rare mineral, gold.?? Knowing that this was only a temporary solution and that the process would have to be repeated nearing the approach of every convergence, gold became the most valuable commodity. The ever growi
